Lisa’s story… After The Win…

Lisa was a regular player of Prize Paradise online competitions but she wasn’t having the best time. Things had happened quickly. In November she was unfortunately involved in a serious accident that badly affected her mobility.

Lisa was left needing to regularly use crutches and a wheelchair, which was obviously hugely life-changing impacting her whole family. “My accident left me with a spinal injury and my partner had to give up work to become my full-time carer. We have three children as well.”

A community feel

By then Lisa was already participating in Prize Paradise online competitions. She said: “I have never had a bad experience with Prize Paradise. It is family-orientated, that’s how I feel, part of a community.” In January, Lisa took part in a Prize Paradise online draw and won £1000. It gave her a boost: “I won in the January which was a great help. Then one day in March on draw day, I had an instinct to enter one and told my my partner. I did, just as a draw was going live and got an instant win of £5000! It helped us in so many ways, just at the right time.”

A much needed family break

The fallout from Lisa’s accident had been having a negative impact on the family before the win. “We were going through so much and when I won the £5k, a lot of things changed. Neither of us could work, so we were losing our home. We couldn’t afford anything. I was sitting up at night worrying about what was going to happen. How are the kids feeling? When I won, I told the kids immediately that we could go away somewhere, even though they were in bed! I just wanted to make them happy and to see the smiles on their faces when I told them.” The money gave Lisa’s family some breathing space and they used some for a much-needed break in the UK: “It was so lovely to be able to relax and not worry about anything for a week or so. The kids had the best time.”

Lisa says she would never use a different competition website: “Other sites just don’t have the same family feel.”

In total, so far, Lisa has won £6750, from playing just once a month with Prize Paradise’s low entry fees enabling her to pay some bills and take the pressure off, without spending out.

“I am so glad I did it and just at the right time when it just helped us out big time. The children saw a change in mum and dad, we were a bit happier. It helped us all. I won’t stop playing Prize Paradise competitions.”
