Christmas is a time for giving, but for some families, making Christmas feel special can be difficult.
That’s why every Christmas we try to spread a little love and last Christmas was no different. We at Prize Paradise wanted to do something practical to help. Prize Paradise charity donations are not only cash donations to worthy causes…
We decided to put together a collection of toys and Christmas goodies for children who might otherwise have had less to look forward to during the festive period.
Two of the organisations that received some of our donations were charities supporting children and young people: KIDS BANK HQ via there hub at KIDECO Lakeside and Aspirations Fostering.
From toys suitable for toddlers through to gifts for teenagers, the team donated sacks of presents to help bring some extra Christmas excitement to children and families.
It was a small way for us to give something back to our community, and one that meant a great deal to everyone involved.
For many children, Christmas is about excitement! The anticipation of Christmas morning, the presents under the tree and the feeling of wondering what might be waiting for them.
However, we know that not every child gets to experience Christmas in the same way.
That’s why, at Christmas, we have a huge charity push and offer support to focus on something simple… Gifts for children who might not receive anything on Christmas day.
The teams we met at KIDECO and Aspirations were incredibly welcoming, and the responses we received after delivering the presents meant a huge amount to us.
Following the donation, the Aspirations team sent us a message thanking everyone involved.
They told us:
“It was so brilliant to meet you all and we can not thank you enough for coming and even more for all the amazing presents! You will make a lot of children happy and made us all so happy too.”
They also described Prize Paradise as:
“A really great group of people that deserve the best.”
That message meant so much to us as a team.
Knowing that the donations could help bring happiness to children over Christmas was exactly why we wanted to do it in the first place.
Prize Paradise has always been built around its community.
Our players are at the heart of what we do, and supporting worthwhile causes is something we believe should be part of being a responsible member of that community.
That doesn’t always mean making a huge cash donation.
Sometimes it means giving time, donating toys, supporting a local event or charity initiative.
And sometimes it simply means showing up.
Our Christmas donations to KIDECO Lakeside and Aspirations Fostering were one example of how we can use the opportunities we have as a business to help others.
We’re proud of what Prize Paradise has become, but we never want the focus to be solely on competitions and prizes.
Behind the website and the live draws are real people, real families and a community that continues to support us.
That gives us an opportunity to support other people too and Christmas always provides a particularly fitting opportunity.
The presents may have been toys and gifts, but what mattered most to us was knowing they could help create some happy moments for children.
That’s something worth celebrating and which is why we continue to buy toys throughout the year ready for Christmas donations to children and families that need it most!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone at KIDECO Lakeside and Aspirations Fostering for welcoming us and allowing us to play a small part in their work.
Supporting children and young people is something we’re proud to be involved in, and we hope there will be more opportunities to work alongside organisations doing important work in our communities.
