There are some events that are about far more than football. Recently, members of the Prize Paradise team attended a charity football match held in memory of Henry Nowak, with all funds raised going to 2Wish, a charity that provides vital bereavement support to families affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young adult aged 25 or under.
Dan pulled on his boots to take part in the match, while Danielle was there cheering from the sidelines alongside hundreds of supporters who came together for an incredibly important cause.
As a team, Ryan and Dan also donated £2,000 to 2Wish, helping the charity continue providing support to families facing some of life’s most difficult moments.
For everyone at Prize Paradise, it was a privilege to play a small part.
2Wish is a UK charity dedicated to ensuring that anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young adult receives the emotional and practical support they need.
The charity works closely with families during an unimaginable time, providing immediate bereavement support while helping them navigate the difficult weeks and months that follow.
Its work reaches far beyond financial assistance. It offers comfort, guidance and a compassionate network for families who suddenly find themselves facing life without someone they love.
For many families, that support can make an enormous difference.
The day wasn’t about competition. It was about remembering Henry, supporting his family and raising money to help other families who may sadly face similar circumstances in the future.
The atmosphere reflected exactly what community should look like. Friends, families, local businesses and supporters all came together with one shared purpose.
Hundreds of people attended throughout the day, demonstrating just how much Henry meant to those around him and how willing people are to support causes that genuinely matter.
Moments like these remind us that kindness still brings communities together.
Reflecting after the event, Dan said:
“It’s a shame that such devastating circumstances have to bring people together like this. But these days also show the good in humanity. It was a fantastic turnout. Hundreds of people came along to support such an amazing cause, and we were happy to be there in support and do our little bit to contribute.”
His words perfectly captured the feeling shared by so many people there.
While nobody would ever wish for the reason behind the event, seeing an entire community rally together in support of one another was genuinely inspiring.
Prize Paradise exists because of its community.
Every competition entered, every winner celebrated and every conversation with our players helps shape the business we continue to build.
Supporting charities and community events is simply an extension of those values.
We’re proud to celebrate our winners, but we’re equally proud to support causes that make a lasting difference to people’s lives whenever the opportunity arises.
Sometimes that means fundraising, sometimes it means donations and sometimes it’s simply showing up and standing alongside others.
Every act of support matters.
Trust isn’t created by saying the right things.
It’s built by consistently doing the right things.
At Prize Paradise, we believe our responsibility extends beyond running fair and exciting competitions.
It also means listening to our community, supporting worthwhile causes and being transparent about the values that guide our business.
The Henry Nowak charity football match was one example of that commitment in action.
We would like to thank everyone involved in organising such a special event. To everyone who attended, donated, volunteered or took part on the day, thank you.
Most importantly, we send our thoughts to Henry’s family and everyone supported by 2Wish.
Your strength is inspiring, and we hope the money raised continues to provide comfort and support to families who need it most.

Dawn was having a great time away, staying with her sister for a short break along with Minnie, her french bulldog. One Monday evening, Dawn received an email with great news – she was a winner of a Prize Paradise online competition! Dawn was shocked and reread the email a few times before she could believe it was true. She had won cash in that evening’s online prize draw. £4,000 to be exact!
Dawn’s excitement was short lived as later that night Minnie started acting strangely, not like herself at all. Dawn said: “She was not the dog we knew, and kept laying away from everyone, which was really not like her.” Dawn planned to keep an eye on her overnight and if necessary take her to the vets the following morning. Unfortunately, in the middle of the night poor Minnie woke up screaming, so was rushed to an emergency vet nearby. The vet suspected a slipped disc – not that unusual for frenchies. Giving her pain killers, they told Dawn to crate her and bring her back the next day for an MRI. Minnie may need surgery. Obviously this was an incredibly worrying time for Dawn, who was so concerned about Minnie. Not to mention the rising cost of the surprise vet bills. Having lost her mum just months before, Dawn couldn’t cope with the idea of losing the fur baby that had helped her through that tough time. Dawn would do anything to help her dog.
The next day Minnie was referred to the Queen Mother animal Hospital in Hatfield, but was already showing signs of improvement as she managed to put some weight on her back legs, unlike the previous day. She underwent an MRI and thankfully the results were good! Minnie didn’t need surgery, thanks to the family’s quick actions the night before. Painkillers and time spent resting in a crate had saved Minnie from further treatment.
Dawn was over the moon of course and felt immense relief. She knew that Minnie was on the mend, and the prize money from simply playing competitions online had covered the bill! After emergency treatments, consultation fess and MRI, the bill stood at £4,000. The exact amount she’d won playing Prize Paradise competitions: “I usually buy a few tickets then forget it. It was a complete and utter shock, winning it. Without it, I maybe wouldn’t have Minnie because I genuinely don’t know how I would have paid the vet’s bill without it. I wouldn’t want her to suffer.”
Dawn still plays Prize Paradise’s online competitions and has won a few times since on instant wins. She says the £4k prize hasn’t made her feel like she less chance of winning, as anyone could have that lucky number to scoop the big prize. She is also keen to quell anyone’s concerns over the validity of our competition website: “I have seen some comments questioning if it’s real. It totally is. My win meant everything to me. Prize Paradise literally saved my dog’s life.”
Dawn’s story goes to show that it’s not always holidays and treats that people use their winnings for. Sometimes it’s literally a life or death situation. At Prize Paradise we are very dog-friendly and we couldn’t be happier that we helped Dawn and her family save her fur baby Minnie. We are happy to report that Minnie is doing extremely well and is back to her old self after her ordeal. We look forward to getting further updates!
